Resident Memberships

Free to all residents of Tinton Falls, this card is your passport to just about anywhere and anything in the Monmouth County Library system. Everybody needs a library card. Here's how you can get one.

Bring along proof of resident address (driver's license, utility bill etc.)
Ask at the circulation counter for a library card application
Under 17? Just fill out an application and have it signed by a parent or guardian.
You'll receive your card right away.

Non-Resident Memberships
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3

If you are not a resident of Tinton Falls, it's still possible to join our library. Annual, non-resident card fees are $20.00 a year. You'll find that we are a friendly, local library that cares about its patrons. We have many non-resident patrons. Take our word for it, or check it out yourself. We promise that you'll love our library.

Association Membership
(Friends of the Library)

An Association Membership is an extra-special membership that shows your intention to help the library become the best it can be.
Annual donation of $20.00 per family.
Donations are used to purchase additional materials and furnishings for the library.
Association Members receive the newsletter by mail, can become Board Members, and may attend TFL Board meetings. (These take place the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.. Meetings are not held in December, July, or August.)

Why Join?

We have forty thousand items for people of all ages and interests. We carry board books, audio tapes and picture books for young children, loads of adult and juvenile fiction and nonfiction material, newspapers and magazines. New releases are regularly bought by the library and books we do not own are available through special order from the County Library headquarters in Manalapan.
Great multimedia. We have CDs, DVDs, videos, computer software and books on tape and CD.
Internet connection. We have access to the internet, and there is seldom a wait. In addition, we have a public use computer for you in case you have a letter to type, or a paper to finish.
Circulation:
- Videos and DVDs circulate for 2 days with one renewal possible. You must be 17 or older to borrow these materials.
- All other items circulate for two weeks and may be renewed twice.
  All materials can be renewed online or by phone. Please renew online before midnight on the day they are due or you will be charged an overdue fee. Information is available at the library.
